Last week, Lou, our oldest veteran, was honored in Castle Rock for his contributions to the veteran community. Lou raised funds to create a statue in honor of Veterans. He raised over $90,000, which made extra funds to create a support group for vets. He will be in a documentary later this ...year!
In support of Lou, Bob, a vet, raised money to put over 260 American flags in a flag ceremony.
To thank both Lou and Bob for their outstanding contributions, Scouts held a flag ceremony in our community.
Residents at homestead received donated CBD products from South Pointe Hemp and CBD to use for their soap-making project. There are many reasons to try CBD soap; it has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, so it can be helpful for conditions like acne and eczema as ...well as aiding in reducing sore, achy muscles.

Rex is the president of our garden club named, The Pollen Crew. In our garden club, we discussed residents were not happy with the outside display that the landscapers did last year. They wanted to put it into their own hands, so we came up with a list of low-light plants that bees love!
The Groovin’ Group can Name That Tune! 🎶 Can you name that tune faster than Darlene? 😂 #memorycare
Our bees have arrived! Our #PollenCrew was ecstatic to start our beekeeping program this week. Rex( the president of the Pollen Crew) helped our beeker, Jay, move in our bees to our flow hive. Once they were settled, we were able to spot the Queen 🐝.

Throughout the month of May, Homestead residents are learning about the history of #mosaicart. As part of their art program, they created beautiful pebble art.
They channeled their inner Coco Chanel and created these fashion-inspired art pieces ✨📸
✨Resident Spotlight ✨Bob is one of our talented residents at HighPointe. During COVID, he decided to try a new activity - 3D wood puzzles! Since then, Bob has created more than 25 astonishing structures. Bob shared one of his favorite pieces with the residents, a moving Ferris Wheel, which took... roughly 25 hours to complete. Bob says you're never too old to start something new and that it has taught him lots of patience.
