Everything started out great for my mom, but the last couple weeks have not been good as multiple staff have left and not been replaced. Food service has slowed way down and is now gone to a buffet, which is not OK for half of the residents can’t even get their own food. Yesterday they had to cancel activities because they didn’t have anybody to run it. It’s a lot of money to pay to not be getting all of the amenities corporate needs to take care of this ASAP or reduce the rent. Give a refund do something to compensate for the issues going on currently. Our mother loves it there. It’s a beautiful But currently is going through some serious growing pains

I am at the beginning phase of moving my brother to assisted living. I visited 10 locations and the Oaks of Algonquin far exceeded my expectations. The building is beautiful, the amenities are amazing, the staff and residents that I met were so nice. The residents that I saw out and about told me how much they liked the place. My brother is moving in next month!!!!I am updating my review now that my brother has been there for 7 weeks.The Oaks of Algonquin is an amazing place for that family member that needs the next level of care and support. I recently move my brother into the building and what I can say is, oh my goodness!!!! Best decision ever. The place offers so much and provides the level of care that goes above and beyong.The staff is amazing. Kelly in sales was so very helpful outlining all the services they provide. Rhonda the Director of Nursing and her staff were very instrumental in getting the medication organized. All of the staff get to know your loved one and treat them so kindly.The amenities are really good as well. They have 2 restaurants with a variety of choices on the menu. The food is really good, their cheese burgers are the best, it is one of my favorite menu items and a great value. They have a salon, a clinic, a workout facility, activities room, a pub, an arts and crafts, plenty of living/family room areas to visit with family and friends. The building is beautiful, it is spacious with large gathering rooms and wide hallways, an open concept, and a beautiful color palette.When thinking about the pricing and comparing facilities. They all are expensive and have small price variances. You get what you pay for and the small price variance is worth every penny at the Oaks of Algonquin. I love this place, it brings me joy when I walk into the building to visit my brother. I would love to live here.

The decision to move my mom into a memory care facility was unexpected and difficult. The Oaks was impressive the minute we walked in from the comforts of home to the cleanliness to the wonderful staff we met along the way. In particular, the memory care manager, Jen, has been instrumental in the decision to move mom in. She is knowledgeable, empathetic, and has helped us every step of the way. It’s a difficult situation, but knowing my mom is in good hands puts our mind at ease.

My Mom has lived here for several years now, first in independent living and now in memory care. You hear horror stories about senior living facilities, but I have to say, this place is just exceptional. Want to know how much they loved my sweet Father-in-law? A group of employees went over to his new, higher level of care facility ON THEIR OWN. I can not tell you how much that brightened his day! We were looking for an assisted living facility for my grandma to live in while she lived in Del Webb and my mom found this really nice facility right here. My grandma has been living here for about a year now and she really like her apartment there! They are very good at taking care of the people who live here! Very friendly helpers and also very nice neighbors! This is a very nice place to live in and also everything smells like new in the hallway and also the staff were very nice to us. I would highly recommend anyone who needs support and help for their relatives to live here!

My mom was a resident at Oaks at Algonquin with her dog Nina. You can’t imagine how beneficial Nina was to the residents there! They all loved her and she provided the much needed therapy for everyone. Unfortunatelly this is no longer possible as she moved because of David William.She has only let Nina off her leash where there was nobody outside. There was never a risk of her approaching anyone and she never caused any trouble. On the contrary, everyone absolutely loved her.Many people there asked my mom why she was moving and the only answer she gave them was: certain people (like David William) made hers and Nina’s lives incredibly difficult. She was even told that Kim, of the the receptionists there, made up a story that “Nina came viciously to her”. This could never ever happened as my mom was with Nina the whole time and she never saw it and also Nina is extremelly friendly and she loves everyone!Finally, it’s a real shame that such a beautiful place with such wonderful people is managed by someone like David William.

My parents moved into The Oaks in June of 2022. We have been very impressed with the caring and compassionate staff as well as the quality of the food served in their 2 restaurants. Jim and Shelly coordinate many different activities and meaningful events that are especially exceptional and often include family and friends. I often recommend the facility to those looking for a quality retirement community. Our family has been very happy with them!

What a great experience ! It started as we were greeted when we walked in the door. Brian is very knowledgeable about The Oaks. He took us to the desired apts, allowing us to “ get a feel” for the size and style, layout while also answering all questions , ( trust me there were a lot ).As we were looking at the different floor plans, he was also talking and showing us all of the amenities throughout the community. We ended up at the main restaurant, where he invited us to return and enjoy breakfast ,lunch, or dinner, , further getting a feel for what goes on, and resident interaction.After we completed the tour, we asked for a few minutes to sit and chat, but also observe how some of the other residents interact daily. We were very pleased, with the looks, the tour, and also with Brian’s patient and knowledge, and the “No Pressure” attitude.My mom said she felt good about everything!! We agreed to return the next day with my son so he could see and get a feel for the community where she would be staying. He agreed, it was comfortable and the right place for grandma. After having a little discussion, we all agreed and signed the lease.What a wonderful experience for mom, as well as myself, and even my son.Thanks Brian !

I have already told many of my friends about this beautiful new community. The amenities are amazing and yet you feel at home. The management and staff however put it over the top. I have never worked with a more accommodating, professional and caring staff who really do all they can to help and make you feel important and at home.My Dad has been there only a month, but the staff continues to learn his needs and provide him the best possible environment.

An absolutely stunning facility, the layout is outstanding and well thought out, the staff are very friendly. I sampled food made by their chef and it was exquisite. The campus hosts a movie theatre, multiple dining rooms, art activities room, gathering/recreation room, multiple outdoor patios, just too many too list. You have to come and see it for yourself. You will be impressed and blown away by all the amenities The Oaks of Algonquin has to offer. Thank you
