Breath of relief after dealing with horrible homecare services. My uncle is happy here. The staff and amenities seem to calm him down and make him feel comfortable since losing his wife.

I have worked at HighPointe since last December and I absolutely love it! My coworkers are amazing and extremely supportive all around. I enjoy coming to work everyday and interacting with my residents and other staff workers. HighPointe is extremely resident and family-oriented. We do our best to accommodate our resident's needs and it makes our community one of a kind. I wouldn't want to work anywhere else!

The team at Highpointe is unparralled to any other community I have experienced. I come from the home care world where we provide home based services whereby we recommend assisted living to our clients when the time is right. Highpointe has exceptional attention to detail and I always feel welcomed whenever I visit the building.

My father-in-law moved to HighPointe about 3 years ago. Before he moved there he had basically given up, he wanted to just die. Once he moved in there and got settled, he THRIVED!!! He kept very busy with the activities, bridge, the choir, and the fantastic special guest HighPointe brought in. Every week they had special days, basically everyday was a party! They celebrated Star Wars, The Kentucky Derby (so cute to see the ladies in their grand hats sipping Mint Juleps!) HighPointe excelled in making everyday a day worth getting up just to see what the Director of Fun had planned! We spent many Holidays enjoying the buffets that were provided so families could spend the holidays with their loved ones. In April of this year, my father in law took a turn, his time with us was nearing the end. He came home from the hospital on Hospice, my goodness what an emotional, difficult and heart wrenching time. Tracy, Annette, Angie, Stephanie Gina and sooooo many others were so amazing in getting a new care plan set up for him. We were so stressed that he wasn't going to get enough care! Boy were we wrong!! Every hour 24/7, whether the family was there or not, they came in to check on him, administer meds, assist him with any needs he needed and just plain visit with him! HighPointe worked seamlessly with the hospice company, and made sure he was comfortable. My father in law passed in early May. Our grief is (still) profound! Tracy and her amazing team grieved with us! They supported us and did everything they could to assist us in our loss. Simply said, they are amazing and if you are looking for a place for your beloved senior in your life...stop looking, you have found everything and so much more in HighPointe! So pick up the phone, give them a call, and know that you are giving your mom, dad, aunt, uncle or any other person that needs to move to an assisted living a new chapter in their book of life! Our family is convinced that if we had not moved my father in law here, we wouldn't have had the last 3years with him. There are a lot of senior living communities, but there is only one HighPointe. Thank you Tracy, Annette, Angie and so many more for doing what you do! Your love, compassion, and professionalism are outstanding. Thank you for the last 3 years. I wish there were more stars to give!!!

It was more than we anticipated. Angie is the perfect Director of Communications. She very personable, understood our needs when relayed to her, and sensitive to what we are going through with having to move family across states. Angie was always prompt in returning our inquiries through the process. In addition, everyone at HighPointe was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We are looking forward to getting our parents here with us and fortunate that we found such a wonderful place for them to live. I know they will be as happy as we are.

We moved our mother to HighPointe to be closer to family. The staff is professional and friendly and the facility is well furnished and comfortable. We are especially pleased with the dining room. The meals are what you would expect in a restaurant - good quality and professionally served.

"This sucks."That's been my mom's and dad's reaction to getting older, losing function, being told they need to move to assisted living, etc. It also sucks a fair amount for the people who have to watch their loved ones get older, lose function—and being the ones who can easily be perceived as the takers-of-the-aforementioned freedom. But, given all that, there are people out there who have a genuine interest in playing the human equivalent of WD-40. Smoothing the way, reducing the friction. The people at HighPointe fit into that category. They've been: sweet, understanding, encouraging, helpful, responsive and more. The facility is immaculate. In time, I'm sure we'll find more good and I know there will be challenges. But based on the experience thus far, I'm hopeful the "initial quality rating" as they say in the car commercials, will continue to hold—and dare I say, keep getting better. Thanks you guys, for helping my parents turn the frown upside down.

We moved my mother to High Pointe in June, at first we thought it was a great move. She quickly went down hill, they had her meds wrong even though the care providers thought something was suspicious. They were not able to meet her memory care needs. At first we were told by John that we might have to move her to memory care, but something to look at later on down the road (during the same meeting he confided in us that the place was run poorly but they were trying to fix that). Just a couple days later, they called us in a panic that we needed to move her to memory care asap and we needed a 24x7 nurse until we could get her in. We moved her in, but she barely lasted a day. By the morning she had become so irate that she actually broke open the 2nd story window and was trying to jump! Let me just repeat that, a frail 75 year old woman broke open their window and tried to jump! At that point we had her moved up to a hospital in the Springs, and that's when the communication really broke down. The hospital told us that High Pointe wasn't accepting her back, and I was trying to contact the office manager to figure out her final bill. They never returned my calls. We secured another facility, and when we moved her out, they told us they had never rejected her, just that they were planning to go up over the next weekend to evaluate her. Well they never told us that, or anyone at the facility in the Springs. Don't mind the plan, but when the hospital is discharging her, we needed to know that. We moved her out, I asked for a final bill. Nothing, no response, no returning of phone calls, even went in once. They called us in October to notify us we had an outstanding balance, but had never sent an invoice, nothing. Bottom line, the place is nice, but it's a façade. They really weren't a memory care facility that could handle my Mom. Wish they would have told us up front, that in some cases they aren't equipped to handle difficult memory care cases, but they took us on a two month painful roller coaster that costs us money and time. If your loved one has memory care concerns, I would find a facility that is equipped. Instead of them calling us in a panic to come help, the new facility lets us know she was having issues. Instead of letting Mom get out of hand, they are trained to de-escalate situations and redirect them. I get it, Mom is a tough case, but be warned, this place will not be able to cope.

This is the absolute worst Assisted Living home. Angela Pilkington is non responsive and very unattentive. She's usually out of the office. And does not return phone calls. The new Director, Dana, is also at a loss. Take your loved ones elsewhere.
