Every good garden starts with a trip to the garden center.

Residents recently picked out their favorite flowers and vegetable plants at Andy's Market before heading back to the community to get everything in the ground. Now we'll be keeping an eye on the tomatoes, cucumbers, ...jalapeños, and flowers as they grow throughout the season.

This Juneteenth, we reflect on the significance of freedom and the power of perseverance. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from the generations who have witnessed history, shared their stories, and helped create a more inclusive future for all.

As part of our Juneteenth celebration, interactive storyteller Janice invited residents to take on roles and become part of the experience. The result was an afternoon filled with participation, laughter, and meaningful ...engagement.

It's amazing how a box of donuts bring people together. Residents gathered for fresh donuts, good conversation, and a morning filled with smiles.

The baby chicks in our courtyard have quickly become the stars of the show. Residents have loved watching them grow, holding them, and helping care for them each day. Safe to say they've won over a lot of hearts.

Our Art Walk for Alzheimer’s was more than just an art show. It was an opportunity to bring the community together, showcase our beautiful cottages, and support a cause that touches so many lives.

Guests enjoyed artwork from our talented residents, including... both recent creations and pieces from earlier years, as well as artwork from residents' dogs, local artists, Borgia High School, and Washington Public Schools. Combined with local vendors, live music from the Rockin’ Luke Queen Band, and great coffee from Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck, the event created a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for everyone who attended.

We were honored to use this event to raise awareness and support for our Alzheimer's Walk Team, sharing our mission and fundraising efforts with the community.

Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, donated, and helped make the day such a meaningful success. Seeing so many people come together in support of art, community, and Alzheimer's awareness made for a truly unforgettable day. 💜

Spent the afternoon hanging out at the Washington, Missouri riverfront. We had a great time catching up, watching the trains pass by, and enjoying the river views. Definitely a solid day for a picnic. ☀️

Our Cinco de Mayo celebration at The Homestead at Hickory View was an absolute fiesta! 🎉🍹

We broke out the margaritas, served up a spread of seriously tasty munchies, and let the good times roll. The room was completely filled with non-stop laughter as everyone spent the afternoon ...dancing, socializing, and simply soaking up the cheerful atmosphere. There is something so special about getting together to let loose and celebrate. It was a wonderful afternoon of genuine connection, and we absolutely loved seeing our residents making such great memories together!
