Residents at homestead received donated CBD products from South Pointe Hemp and CBD to use for their soap-making project. There are many reasons to try CBD soap; it has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, so it can be helpful for conditions like acne and eczema as ...well as aiding in reducing sore, achy muscles.

Throughout the month of May, Homestead residents are learning about the history of #mosaicart. As part of their art program, they created beautiful pebble art.
They channeled their inner Coco Chanel and created these fashion-inspired art pieces ✨📸
In our Sustainable Crafting series, residents are learning how to create handmade crafts & gifts that focus on using recycled/sustainable materials.
Residents learned how to create sustainable paper hearts they can plant! They recycled old paper by tearing it into scraps and combining... them with warm water and flower seeds to create a sustainable paper paste. Using the correct tools, residents practiced making homemade paper and even how to shape the piece into hearts to gift to loved ones. Once dried, this paper can be planted in soil and watered, then watched as it sprouts into new life. Learning about the compostable opportunities with creating paper gave us unique insight into gardening and making sustainable crafts.
After meeting rescued birds and learning their rehabilitation stories, residents created homemade bird toys to keep them happy and healthy! Interactive toys encourage these birds to stay active and engage them throughout the day. Birds can shred up the paper and cardboard and even enjoy some ...bird-seed as a treat! We can't wait to have our bird friends revisit us and hope they enjoy our toys!
✨Resident Spotlight ✨Bob is one of our talented residents at HighPointe. During COVID, he decided to try a new activity - 3D wood puzzles! Since then, Bob has created more than 25 astonishing structures. Bob shared one of his favorite pieces with the residents, a moving Ferris Wheel, which took... roughly 25 hours to complete. Bob says you're never too old to start something new and that it has taught him lots of patience.
Our adventurous resident,Patty, brought her friends together for a day at @castlesncoasters , where we did miniature golfing and bumper boats. Patty said the bumper boats were her favorite, and Chuck was excited he made a hole-in-one.
