#TheOaksAtAlgonquin is #OVERALZ ! Their Executive Director Jeremy donned some overalls and had their residents and staff paint him with dye. They had so much fun working on this fashion project with purpose! The overalls made its debut at the Work the Runway For A Cause fashion show. The fashion helped raise money for the @alzassociation 💜

Silver Glen's memory care neighborhood took a trip to Peck Butterfly House to wrap up their butterfly programming this fall. At Silver Glen, we raised and released our own butterflies after learning the science behind their lifecycle and migration patterns. Next summer, we plan to grow ...milkweed to become a safe haven for butterflies as they become more threatened with endangerment. What a beautiful sight!

#ItsCorn 🌽 Mountain Park residents had a great time at their Fall Harvest Party & Popcorn Bar event! We celebrated the upcoming fall season with delicious fall foods 🍁 #itscornsong

Nick and Luella met at Anthem while they were both watching the Olympics. Once the Olympics ended, they started to play cornhole together, they fell in love and are now married💞 They both won gold ✨

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Wood 🤵👰💍

Residents at #TheOaksAtAlgonquin worked the runway for a cause! Their #Artbrellas fashion show helped raise $1,965 for the @alzassociation 💜

Silver Glen's memory care neighborhood is celebrating Spanish culture during Hispanic Heritage Month with their munecas de papel (paper dolls). Residents beautifully captured the bright colors and movement inspired by traditional flamenco dresses. It is fun celebrating and learning about the ...vibrant, rich Hispanic culture. Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!

“ I will be picking you up in my Lamborghini.” The new example for Boujee 😂 #GenZSlang #seniorliving

Residents at the Enclave at Cedar Park invited students from the Goddard School - Cedar Park to participate in their puppet show during their #renisancefestival ✨

Guess that Gen Z Slang! Residents at Silver Glen #SeniorLiving participated in a Gen Z Slang Competition as a part of their Trip Down Memory Lane Program! A program that focuses on timeless memories and new experiences! Our girl Barbara is back and #bussin more than ever ❤️ #genzslang ...#ageisanattitude

Our resident, Ken, is looking good and feeling good after our outing to Rocket Fizz penny candy shop. This month residents are reminiscing on old memories while learning and enjoying new things. Nothing takes us back like a trip to a penny candy store, where residents can enjoy the sweet treats ...from their childhood. While the candies are good, they do not compare to the homemade penny candies that residents learned to make here at Silver Glen during our "Nostalgic Candies" program.

Silver Glen Living in Elgin is a very nice facility and staff are friendly. However, some of the promised services are not available. There is limited transportation. We were led to believe there would be transportation to doctor appointments. However, there is only limited transportation on Tuesdays and Thursdays and it’s often full. The food is satisfactory but isn’t very tasty and there are limited selections for those on a restricted diet. I know there are staff challenges but we hope they can improve transportation support and the meals in the near future.

Snooping on conversations. Apparently no memory care center sweeps the floor in this country. I had the South Elgin police called in my because they thought I was going to take MY MOTHER out of the home and not return her. While snooping on our conversation, which was meaningless and part of dealing with my mom's dementia. Nice job! This place is turning into another place my mom doesn't deserve to be stuffed in.

Ginger did an exceptional job of welcoming us to the facility and the staff. We were so impressed with everything that we reserved my Mom apartment # 1701. We're looking forward to the opening of the assisted care wing and our move in date.
