In Assisted Living, Spectrum employs a unique five-tiered level of care rate structure combined with a tiered approach to medication management and insulin support. This is designed to enhance our existing services by presenting a comprehensive approach to how we evaluate levels of care.

By using this unique tiered program, we can provide the supportive health services that best suit our residents’ wants and needs.

The base rate in the community, whether Assisted Living or Memory Care, includes two elements: rent and the Service Fee, which provides for the provision of those service and care components that are not connected to the resident’s personalized care plan.

As care needs elevate, there is an increased cost for each additional level of care up to Level Five. Our transparency ensures residents and families know what part of their cost is connected to their personalized care, specific medication management and/or insulin support needs.

Our medication management program is designed to provide personalized, transparent, and fair support for each resident. Using a points-based model, we assess two key components to determine service levels: the number of daily medication passes (scheduled administration times) and the total number of medications managed, including both routine and PRN (as-needed) medications. Insulin management is evaluated separately due to its complexity. This structure provides families with greater clarity and confidence, as pricing is directly aligned with the time and support involved in managing medications. Quarterly assessments, as well as evaluations following any significant change in a resident’s condition, ensure care remains responsive and appropriate.

One-Time Fee

The Community Fee equals your first month’s rent (excluding care), up to a $5,000 maximum. It supports apartment preparation, community upkeep and amenities, and key administrative services to ensure a smooth move-in experience.
