Ice cream tour update: 2 down, 3 to go! 🍦

We've been making our way through some favorite local ice cream shops, including The Original Plush Horse Ice Cream and The Original Rainbow Cone. While the ice cream was definitely worth the trip, the stories shared along the way were just... as sweet. Driving through familiar neighborhoods sparked memories of childhood homes, school days, and family outings, making each stop about much more than dessert.

68 pounds of pop tabs and counting. ♻️

We recently made our first large donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities in Oak Lawn! John had the honor of delivering it on behalf of the community. During the visit, we learned more about how something as small as a pop tab can help support... families staying at the house.

Our next goal is the Million Pop Top Club, and we’re just getting started. If you have pop tabs at home, save them for us.

This Juneteenth, we reflect on the significance of freedom and the power of perseverance. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from the generations who have witnessed history, shared their stories, and helped create a more inclusive future for all.

Residents recently created decorative glass plates using paint, napkins, and Mod Podge, putting their own creative spin on each design.

The finished pieces turned out beautifully, and we're already talking about... bringing this project back for the winter season. Which design is your favorite? 👇

We are helping bring our community mural to life, one colorful popsicle stick at a time. Every piece adds a little more personality to a project that truly belongs to the entire community.
We can't wait to share the finished result. ✨

Who else has caught the gardening bug this summer? 🌻

Residents across our community have been hard at work adding color to our outdoor spaces. In the Memory Care neighborhood, planter boxes were transformed with bright paint and cheerful blooms, while our Independent and Assisted Living... residents carefully designed and planted beautiful garden displays of their own. Despite a few rounds of severe weather, the flowers are thriving and our gardens are looking better than ever.

They are the familiar faces who start the day with a smile, lend a helping hand, celebrate milestones, and build meaningful relationships with our residents every single day.
