Residents at homestead received donated CBD products from South Pointe Hemp and CBD to use for their soap-making project. There are many reasons to try CBD soap; it has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, so it can be helpful for conditions like acne and eczema as ...well as aiding in reducing sore, achy muscles.

Mountain Park residents put on their very own Variety Show for the community and they LIT up the room with their amazing performances. They enjoyed sharing their talents with their fellow peers and inspiring others to never stop pursuing their passions!
#FriendsoftheCommunity is a club that started in January amongst residents at Doughtery Ferry as their New Year’s Resolution, collectively, was to try to help people and animals in the community. They are working with Clare’s House a foster facility ❤️

This past week, Dottie, our lifelong resident quilter, went to the HD SOUTH - Home of the Gilbert Historical Museum annual quilt show with her friends. It was a perfect opportunity to inspire Dottie to continue with her projects. She used to work for the Singer Sewing Machine Company and continues ...sewing in her apartment. Her favorite projects include making stuffed dogs for sick children and lap quilts for ailing seniors. The exhibit had so many quilts, both old and new, as well as one in progress on a giant stretcher. Dottie came home afterward and ran right to her sewing machine!
Throughout the month of May, Homestead residents are learning about the history of #mosaicart. As part of their art program, they created beautiful pebble art.
They channeled their inner Coco Chanel and created these fashion-inspired art pieces ✨📸
Our residents and staff love this month's nod to intergenerational cooking with our "In the Kitchen with Mom" classes. The team has invited relatives to showcase their family culture, ethnic recipes, and traditions. Lisa asked her mom to demonstrate how to make stuffoli, a fried ...dough dessert recipe passed down from cherished Italian great aunties.
Osa showed her daughter how to make her mother's Norwegian pancakes (similar to a crepe but a little thicker.) Residents had never experienced tasting them and tried them with lingonberry preserves. They also looked at old family cookbooks written in Norwegian. Orrin was thrilled to see the names of foods his Norwegian mother had made for him.
These demonstrations reminded everyone of the good times spent learning from parents and grandparents and teaching the next generation. The best tip one resident picked up in class was finding that pancake batter should sit for 30 minutes before cooking for lighter, fluffier results!
Our residents have revisited a decade that brought them great joy, the 70s! In the 1970s, "dream catcher" was published in mainstream media, and it widely became known as a Native craft. Our residents learned about this sacred item and created their own ✨
At Las Palomas, we always make exercise fun! Aquarobics is a fantastic low-impact exercise class that's easy on our joints and keeps us cool. It's a great way to spend the morning getting fit with our friends.
Age fearlessly.
