Our latest Echoes of Justice mock trial brought the courtroom to Shawnee Hills, with everyone taking on a role to investigate the mysterious death of Sweet Dorothy and determine who was responsible. After weeks of preparation, witness statements, evidence gathering, and plenty of twists, it all ...came down to one question: Who hurt our sweet Dorothy?

Disco night understood the assignment. 🪩

Our latest themed dinner quickly turned into a dance party, with everything from head-to-toe disco looks to just a little extra bling. Between live music, cocktails, root beer floats, and a packed dance floor, dinner may have been the theme, but ...dancing definitely stole the night.

Who knew creating a tiny garden could be this much fun? 🌵

Residents rolled up their sleeves and designed their own succulent terrariums from start to finish. They filled glass bowls with soil, selected their favorite succulent, topped it off with decorative rocks, and created beautiful ...displays to take home.

Every terrarium turned out a little different, making each one as unique as the resident who created it.

This month, history became our destination.

Every Friday, residents explored a different piece of Kansas City's past with guided visits to Legler Barn & Museum, the Frisco Depot Train Museum, the John Wornall House, and the Alexander Majors House.

Some residents were ...revisiting favorite places from years ago, while others were experiencing these local landmarks for the very first time. Every outing sparked great conversations, shared memories, and a deeper appreciation for the history that surrounds us.

A courtroom. A mystery. And a jury ready to solve the case. ⚖️

Our upcoming mock trial will challenge everyone to examine the evidence, question witnesses, and decide who is responsible for the mysterious death of Sweet Dorothy. From the judge's bench to the witness stand, every ...role will be played by residents, making for an afternoon of teamwork, problem-solving, and plenty of surprises.
